

Why this is awesome: Abbot's Habit in Venice, California. During my last trip to L.A., I stopped into this coffeeshop in Venice Beach. The gentleman on the left was sitting and drawing a very detailed pencil drawing in his sketchpad. I remember how he smiled and laughed to himself a lot.
I had local newsweeklies in front of me, but I was really just people watching the entire time. In Venice, people watching is better than scripted TV.
