Why this is awesome: In late July, my colleagues at my day job and I ventured to Upper Montclair to run an errand or two, then grabbed a bite to eat at a restaurant that specialized in creating traditional Chinese food in a vegetarian or vegan style. (It's called Veggie Heaven, in case you want to check it out.)
While walking around the area, our little group passed by this little bucolic scene in what I often view as a neighborhood typical of the manufactured design that comes with planned suburban communities. I didn't know if the scene was staged, if it was art, or if it was authentic. All I knew was that it was serene and lovely to look at.
And in essence, that's the entire purpose behind this Lotus Moment series that's been going strong for 8 years. Plus, given everything that is happening in the world, I think we all could use a little serenity and something lovely to look at right about now.
