Lotus Moment: Picnic on Ward's Island

Why This Is Awesome: While on vacation this past summer in Toronto, I took a trip over to the Toronto Islands for a picnic. I had planned to relax on the beach with my book and a small picnic basket, but the walk from Centre Island to the beach on Ward's Island left me exhausted. So I decided to make due with the beautiful green on a sunny day in August. I unrolled my blanket, reclined like a Greek goddess, and just watched the sky and view of the city in the distance.
